2532B ABT Domestic 532 2 piece Ductile Iron Grate & Frame, 1/2 Meter

Frame & Grate: #2532BE:  Epoxy coated ductile iron conforming to ASTM A-536 with a minimum of 0.23Ft² /L Ft (.072m²/Lm) open area. Grates shall meet a minimum 2469 psi proof load per AASHTO M-306 test modified by utilizing a 9” x 3.75” load plate. The grate and frame assembly shall be independently anchored in the encapsulating concrete. Each 19.66” (0.5m) long grate and frame assembly shall have a minimum anchor flange area of 18 in² (116cm²) per side. Grate and frame assemblies shall withstand a minimum vertical pull out of 1,000 lbs. with a minimum 3,000 psi concrete encapsulation. Grates shall be retained in their frame per manufactures recommendation. The grate retaining devices shall not obstruct hydraulic flow in the channel. All grates shall be bicycle safe. Frames and grates shall be made in U.S.A., and shall conform to the FHWA's "Buy America" policy 23 CFR 635.410(b) and Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) 52.225 “Buy American Act”.
