Ductile Overlay Rails

Overlay rails are made of cast ductile iron. They are supplied in Half Meter (19.7 in) sections and are applied to the standard U1000 Polymer Edge Trench Drain Channel. They cover and protect the channel edge in heavy duty traffic applications.

The DI1000 Overlay rails are recommended for applications utilizing hard wheeled traffic (forklift) and heavy industrial and military vehicles. When the ductile iron overlay rails are installed and the appropriate load class grates are selected, the U1000 Trench Drain system can accommodate a class E load rating up to 60 tons.

Fall Options

No Fall - Flat

The straight channel section is used where no fall is required or where natural fall suffices.  In general, installation of no fall trench drain is easier and is used in the majority of applications.

Linear Fall - Presloped

The integrated Linear fall with a constant gradient of .05% ensures a positive discharge. This presloped trench drain is used in specialty situations or where engineering specification require.

Areas used by pedestrians, pedal cyclists and comparable area e.g., lawned areas. light vehicles

Load Class B - 12.5 Ton
 Footways, pedestrian zones and comparable areas, e.g. driveways and parking garages.

Load Class C - 25 Ton
Curbside drainage of public roads and warehouses exposed to low speed heavy wheel loads, forklift trucks and tractor trailers.

Load Class D - 40 Ton
Public roads (including pedestrian streets), motorways and parking areas for all type of road vehicles.

Load Class E - 60 Tom
